NEWS:
The Star Interview is up. This month Vanna thought a Make Up Artist specializing
in Bridal Make Up would be perfect for May you know heading into the
month of Weddings. So she searched high and low for someone who was the
ideal Bridal Make Up Artist. She found a wonderful and talented Artist
Melinda Douglas. The consumate professional, Melinda spends most of
her time working with Brides. She loves what she does and she has a great
business doing it. Read Vanna's interview in the Green Room to find out
more about becoming an artist in a very specialized field. (Or how to
choose the right Make Up Artist for your wedding!)
VIEWS:
Rogue Planet FX has done it again. Sometimes when you work so close with
some on you don't realize how talented they are. But I was so pleased
when Ian's friend Gabe came down from Seattle to let Ian glue lots and
lots of prosthetics on him. Including his new slit throat and Colombian
necktie. After gluing every Continuity burn on Gabe, Ian and I colored
the burns. These burns are easy to glue down because of the ultra thin
edges. And coloring is so easy because the patterns already sculpted into
his Continuity FX line are easy to work off of. Ian developed Continuity
FX for artists who are on set and didn't want to do a handmade burn there,
but wanted a quality burn with out having to hire a lab to create one.
Great for continuity too.
REVIEWS
Viva Las Vegas Maniac style. Melissa, Kimberly and I went to the International
Esthetician conference in Vegas this last weekend. We did a lot of walking
and had a lot of sore feet, but boy did we have a lot of fun. I wanted
to review the Esthetician but this week I have to talk about the show
we able to get to see. The Cirque de Soleil show at the Bellagio the
new one, "O". This is was so beautiful, so fun and so mysterious. The
$98 million production had a stage built with a hydraulic system that
when lowered it exposed a pool that the performers jumped, dove and flipped
in to. As one part of the stage submerged another part would rise up and
a fire act would start. How lucky we are to live in such extravagant times!
The set, the music (very New World), the costumes galore the WATERPROOF
make up! If you are thinking of going to Vegas- be sure to book this a
month early you cannot get tickets once you are there. But believe us
it is worth the $100.00 ticket price. We all agreed we would go again.
We are bringing in some wonderful
new lines that we picked up there they will start arriving next week
and will start to go up on the web site. Keep your watching for new hair
ornaments, natural aroma therapy room fresheners, new Mineral Foundation
palettes and Gerda Spillmann's Biofond Make-up, just to name a few.
Until next week Lot of Love
EIM&K (that's Eva Marie, Ian, Melissa and Kimberly for short.)
