- Dental

negative impression of the teeth. This is the same material use by dentists.

- A high-grade cement used for making the positive impression of the
teeth.
- Mixing
Cups - For mixing Alginate and Ultracal-30
- Dental
Tray - For holding the Alginate to make a negative impression of
your teeth.
- Measuring
Cups - For measuring the water and Alginate.
- Stirrers
- For stiring all your stuff.
Part 1 - Mixing
the Alginate and Taking Negative Impression
Step
1. Using the supplied measuring cup(E), fill cup to top line
(2 tablespoon marker) with Alginate(A). Empty into mixing cup(C). Repeat
for a total of 2 tablespoons.
Step
2. Fill Second cup
to 20 Millimeters line and mix with Alginate. Repeat for a total of 40 Millimeaters.
The water temperature should be approximately 73° since colder water retards
setting and warmer water speeds up setting.

Step 3. The recommended mixing time is 1 minute to acheive a creamy
mix.

Step 4. Fill Tray. Move quickly you dont have much time.
Step
5. Rinse mouth with warm water. Insert filled tray; press gently into
position: pull lip over side of tray and hold immovable for 1 minute after
stickiness vanishes.
Step
6. Use the leftover Alginate in your mixing cup to tell when the Alginate
in your mouth is completely solidified. The Alginate is ready when it
is firm to the touch and it doesn't leave a residue on your finger.
Step 7.
Using the tab as a handle, gently jiggle the tray side to side to release
the vacuum. Remove the tray and rinse impression thoroughly under running
water to remove saliva and debris. Pour impression material immediately
to acheive the most accurate results.

Your finished impresion should
some what resemble this.
the greater detail your mold the better your dental appliance will fit.
Part 2 - Mixing
impresssion material
Step 9. In
a clean mixing cup start mixing Ultracal-30(B): Measure ¼ cup lukewarm
water into cup. Put Ultra-cal 30 into cup and sprinkle into water, until
the Ultracal-30 settles on top and looks like a dry river bed.

Step 10.
Mix until you get a nice creamy consistency, work out all lumps. Ultracal-30
will not be as thick as the Alginate was.
Step 11. Gently spoon some of the mixed Ultra-cal 30 into the front
of the mold, getting it into the impression of the front teeth. But don't
fill all the way - just start with the front.
Step 12.
Holding Dental Tray by tab, gently tap mold on the corner of the table
to remove air bubbles and fill in the rest of the mold.
Step 13.
Let sit for about 10 minutes. While you are waiting, occasionally
stir remaining Ultracal-30 to slow its setting time.
Step 14. After
the first coat has started to set use the extra Ultra-cal 30 mixture you
have been mixing to build a thicker layer all over the mold, filling in
the extra space.
Step 15. Gently
keep adding layers of Ultracal-30 until it is built up all over the top
of the mold (as shown in image).
Let mold sit for about 12 hours or overnight.
Step
16. After mold has had plenty of time to cure, gently pull Dental
Tray from mold.

Discard negative Alginate mold.
Do not attempt to make additional impressions from the same Alginate negative.
Finished Dental
Impression
Ideally, this is the detail your finished impression should have.
Step 17.
Wrap mold carefully in supplied packing materials and send to our
dental apliance lab.
